Michael Landy in conversation with Professor Craig Richardson

Cope Auditorium, Edward Barnsley Building

Michael Landy RA (born 1963) is one of the Young British Artists (YBAs). He is best known for the performance piece installation Break Down (2001), in which he destroyed all his possessions, and for the Art Bin project (2010) at the South London Gallery.

Landy graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Textiles and this will be the first time he has returned to the town since the 1980’s. He will be in conversation with Craig Richardson, Professor of Fine Art at the University discussing the ideas behind his work, with maybe the odd reflection on his time at Loughborough.
